Optic Homes develops, builds and restores residential property across the UK. We work with architects, consultants and tradespeople who share one standard — and we hold every site we run to it.
Optic Homes was founded in 2015 by Lewis Howard in Northampton, and operates today as part of the Blackwood Holdings group of companies — giving us the backing and long-term stability of a wider group, while keeping delivery decisions close to the ground on every site we run.
What sets us apart commercially is OrgView, our proprietary project and financial management platform. Where most developers rely on spreadsheets and monthly catch-up calls, we built our own system to give real-time visibility over cost, programme and risk across every scheme — the same discipline that runs our own developments, extended to the investors and partners who fund them.
Every project has a named Development Director who is personally accountable for programme, cost and quality from site acquisition through to handover — a single point of responsibility, not a committee.
Our long-term strategy is to grow deliberately into a national house builder, without losing the hands-on, accountable approach that got us here — scaling the standard, not diluting it.
